Even though she's the youngest and newest member of our team at Soggy Dog Recording, Montana Sharp has already performed backing vocals on songs that have hit the AMRAP charts. After completing a double degree in Arts/Music at Monash (with distinction) in 2019, Montana has been working as a live performer and session musician, featuring on many EPs and albums across multiple genres. Montana has a background as a classical pianist. Her understanding of theory, contemporary chord progressions, and layering of harmonies allow her to create unique textures and conventional voice leading.
Her raw and painfully honest songwriting has awarded her 'Best Original Song' in the Fast Track Singing Showcase (2014) and allowed her to perform at international venues in Europe and the US. Her songwriting and singing are getting her noticed by some of the biggest names in the industry.
